Cure Natural Aqua Gel vs. L'essence D'eau

Finally! I get a chance to make a post. Today I will be talking about the long-awaited Cure Natural Aqua Gel.
Right around when this product first came out, I knew I really wanted to try it because all other exfoliators I had were too gritty/harsh for my face and I had never heard of a gel exfoliator before. So on my quest in Hong Kong, I was devastated because I couldn't find it in stores yet (yes, I am aware you can find it almost anywhere now). So I went into tons of Sasa's and Watsons and I happened to come across one very informative sales associate. I believe it was at a Bonjour actually and a male associate came up to me asking if I needed help. Normally, I would've said "No thanks, I'm just looking around" but I don't know why but I told him I was looking for an exfoliator. Then he recommended me to try this other exfoliator if I was looking for a higher end product.

To be honest, I was being kind of skeptical of the guy helping me. I was like "Psh, you're a guy what do you know about skincare?" (Yeah I was totally being sexist) But clearly he knew what he was talking about so I gave it a try. (I'll review that also actually .... right after this)

So returning back to the Cure Natural Aqua Gel (Long story short: I made my friend's sister get it for me in Hong Kong)
I truthfully think that the product is over-hyped and doesn't work wonders like it's claimed to do.

Basically, it is just a clear gel and when you rub it into your skin, some kind of reaction happens and it starts to pick at all the dead skin cells you have and clumps it all together.

So you can see, that is my gross looking hand. (FYI the clump looks a bit grey because I wrote on my hand with a pen and didn't wash it off lol)
Yeah, I think this product is pretty good. It's perfect for exfoliating but I don't know, I had expected a lot better.

Moving on to the other exfoliator I was recommended by that sales associate, it is called "L'essence D'eau Gel Exfoliant"

Sorry, my bottle's kind of mushed but that's because I've used it a LOT. I actually bought two when I was in Hong Kong because there was some kind of sale going on where you get a free gift if you spend over 500HKD. Each bottle was 200 and I was like "meh. Why not?"
Let me just start, this product is AMAZING. I can not emphasize that more. Just like Cure, it is a gel exfoliator. It comes out in a clear gel and you rub it on your skin and then dead skin gathers. The only difference is that I feel like this one ACTUALLY gathers my dead skin cells together. It is just like Cure but effectivenessx2 ahaha

So in conclusion Cure vs. L'essence D'eau? L'essence D'eau all the way.

Anyway, school has started again for me QQ so it's really hard being able to find time to blog (I should really be doing my work right now bu it's not working out so well) I'll try my best though!

nyappy~

    1. haha, I just found it at a regular department store. If you go to Hong Kong, you won't even need an address because there are so many. This particular exfoliant was at a "Bonjour" though. They might have stocked up in other stores like Sasa or Watson's but they didn't have it back when I went two winters ago.
      Hope you find it :)
