Disappointing Products

Instead of giving each product that I don't like its own review, I'll just do a combined post and skim briefly over my approaches with each product. Once again, everything I buy is usually based on reviews or recommendations so its hard to really judge the product until after I've bought it.

1) Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner
Ok, I'm not going to say that it's a BAD eyeliner, but it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. The initial uses weren't that bad (just a typical felt liner) and it doesn't really smudge. However, after a few uses, I noticed that the lines I drew were getting lighter and lighter (like it's already running out of ink) To be honest, it's not that big of a deal since all I have to do is go over the line again but.... yeah.

2) Pore Putty BB Cream
For a BB Cream that is supposedly a number one bestseller in Japan, this product was quite disappointing for me. Maybe I'm putting on the cream wrong or something (LOL i have no idea what i'm saying...) but in reality, it just made my skin look kind of flaky and it didn't spread all that well. I have to admit, I've only tried it out once so I guess I'll give it a few more tries but I am definitely not going to be expecting much the next few times. Plus, was this product supposed to hide my pores? Definitely not.
3) Johnson's Body Care- Naturally White
Haha I know this is a completely random product but I had to mention it. If anyone plans on lightening a tan with this ... don't. That's all I have to say. It has a weird smell and the product just sits on your skin (eventually rubbing off). I also have the body soap which I haven't used but I'm hoping it'll be a bit better.
4) Nexcare Acne Dressing
Damn. I had such hopes for this product! Heard/read so many great reviews on this product. Didn't work at all for me. Let me just give you the gist of this product. You open it and you see these clear-yellowish stickers in all sorts of sizes on a plastic sheet. Apparently, you're supposed to put one of these stickers on a pimple and it "sucks out" the pimple. I've used this twice and zero results have shown -sadface- I bought 2 boxes too (no worries though. It was only about $5CAD)

To be honest, there are plenty more of disappointing products that I would put up but for one, I'm super lazy AND I have a bit of home reading to be doing for school (whoo... first day of school T_T)
Why couldn't summer come around more often?

HongKong Haul (a few reviews too... maybe)

Hurro everyone :) I'm back from my vacation (been back for a while already actually) but I just wanted to show everyone the things I bought. I think I'll do most reviews separately, since I don't want to make this the longest post ever. I'll probably just mention a few of the products that didn't make much of an impression of me.

(FYI I buy products based on reviews and how pretty the packaging looks so trust me, I've done my fair share of research before going to Hong Kong)

So, mostly I went to HK to repurchase items that I've bought before or products that I've used before and liked. So the things include My Beauty Diary Masks (the two in the picture I've never seen in Canada before: Black Rose and Caviar), Tsubaki Shampoo/Conditioner (didn't take a picture but you can see a picture of it in my other post), and Polaroid film. Pretty much everything in this photo other than the masks/film/eyelash curlers were presents.

Oh yeah, I bought shoes one day and they started cutting into my ankles so I had to buy bandaids ._.
Here we have the Biore Pore pack. I honestly think it's pretty good but it doesn't take enough out (if you get what I mean) I guess that just means I have super clogged up pores or something (i'm sad to say). The Neutrogena HydroBoost Water Gel is a repurchase since I've posted about it before as well.

Oh, Dollywink. I can't even imagine how much of my money you have taken already.

And yup. No Hong Kong trip is complete without purchasing Laneige products. I was almost out of the cleanser and the Sleeping Pack was highly recommended to me. If anyone wants more detailed explanations of any of the products, just comment and I'll do a short review.
